Goo Goo Dolls Biography and Event Details

Formed in Buffalo, New York, in 1986, the Goo Goo Dolls developed from punk and alternative beginnings into one of pop rock's best-known bands. Frontman and guitarist John Rzeznik and bassist and vocalist Robby Takac have guided the group through a career spanning more than three decades, with emotionally direct songwriting at its core.

The band's 1998 album Dizzy Up the Girl brought enduring hits including “Iris,” “Slide” and “Black Balloon.” Other fan favorites include “Name,” “Here Is Gone” and “Big Machine.” Their more recent studio album, Chaos in Bloom (2022), features songs such as “Miracle Pill” and “New Day Coming.” “Iris,” also known for its connection to the film City of Angels, is a signature singalong that has helped introduce the band to successive generations.

The Austin date is billed with Def Leppard and The Struts; the supplied event information does not specify set times or a running order.
